MERAKKAI CURD KOOTTU (CHAYOTE) மேரக்காய் தயிர் கூட்டு IN TAMIL | QUEENS KITCHEN

     Chow Chow Curd Koottu (Chayote) Items Required Chow chow = 2 Curd = 1/ curd Coconut oil = 2 spoon Grinding and pasting Coconut  = 1 cup small onion = 50 grams Garlic = 2 Green Chilli = 4 Mustard = 1/4 spoon Procedure 1. Place a kadai in stove, pour coconut oil put curry leaves. 2. Add the cut chow chow and saute it well. 3. Add water and boil it. 4. Make paste with the items given for grinding and pasting. 5. After chow chow boiled, add the grinded paste. 6. When it becomes thick add 2 spoons of coconut oil. 7. Add thick curd 1/4 litre. 8. We should not allow to boil after adding curd. 9. Keep it for 1 minute and stop the stove.      SAMAI RICE BIRIYANI PULAO Items Required Samai rice (Little millet) = 2 cup Carrot = 1/2 cup Beans = 1/2 cup Potato = 2 Green Peas = 1/2 cup Tomato = 1 cut small pieces Onion = 1 cut to small pieces Turmeric powder = 1/4 spoon Garam masala = 1/4 spoon Chilli powder = 1/4 spoon Salt Gingelly Oil = 3 spoon For Sauting Pattai (Bark) = 1 Marati mog = 3 Clove (Cramb) = 4 Cardamom = 2 Black Cardamom = 4 Brinji Leave = 1/2 Star Anaise = 1/2 Marine Algae Green Chilli = 3 Ginger Garlic paste = 1 spoon Mint leaves and Coriandar leaves Procedure 1. Put a cooker in a stove, add gingelly oil, add items given for sauting. 2. Add green chilli, onion and saute till green smell goes off. 3. Add ginger garlic paste. 4. Add tomato , add mint leaves. 5. Add salt, masala, turmeric powder, chilli powder. 6. Add carrot, beans, cut potato, green peas and mix them well. 7. Add samai rice. 8. Mix well. 9. Add hot water (1 cup rice 2 cup water + 1/2 cup water) 10. Add Coriander leaves. 11. Close the cooker

  SAMAI TOMATO RICE QUICK AND EASY Items required Samai Rice (Little millet) = 1 1/2 cup Tomato = 2 Small onion = 1 hand (50 grams) Ginger garlic paste Green Chilli = 2 Mint Leaves = 1 hand Pattai (bark) = 1 Cardamom = 2 Cloves (crambu) = 2 Jeera = 1/4 spoon Chilli powder = 1/2 spoon Turmeric powder = 1/4 spoon Salt Gingelly oil = 3 spoon Procedure 1. Place the cooker in a stove, pour oil put bark, lavang, elachi, jeera and saute it. 2. Put Green chilli, small onion, mint leaves and saute until green smell goes off. 3. Add ginger garlic paste. 4. Add tomato, chilli powder, salt and turmeric powder and mix well. 5. When it becomes thick, add the little millet (samai rice). 6. Add hot water (1 cup rice add 2 cup water) 7.  Close the lid and allow 1 whistle. 8. Keep for 5 minutes in low flame. Hot and tasteful Samai tomato rice is ready.
